Our services

Packaging is the first point of contact between the consumer and the product. Besides protecting, it adds value through visual and quality attributes that inform, captivate, and attract consumers.

Therefore, it is also an important marketing, branding, and sales tool.

At Gonçalves, we have technologies to meet a wide range of customer needs and expectations regarding shapes, designs, textures, and finishes, all with a high level of quality.

We transform various types of paperboards into packaging with the standard of quality. We also work with micro-corrugated paper (corrugated), mainly for transport packaging that turns into displays at points of sale.

With a clear vision of the future, we invest in cutting-edge technology and provide the most modern graphic resources and color control, such as:

  • 3D Varnish
  • Hot stamping
  • Cold Foil
  • Holographic Lamination
  • Metalized Lamination
  • Micro-embossing
  • Cast & Cure
  • Digital Finishing
  • Window Packaging
  • Braille
  • Reactive Ink
  • Blister Varnish

See more below!

3D Varnish

3D Varnish

Creates raised and textured surfaces. The process involves applying a thick layer of varnish to specific areas of the print, resulting in a three-dimensional effect that can be seen and felt.

Hot stamping

Hot stamping

A heated process that creates a metallic effect.

Cold Foil

Cold Foil

A cold process for producing a metallic effect with elegant and sophisticated results.

Holographic Lamination

Holographic Lamination

Provides a three-dimensional effect to packaging through the application of thermo-laminates that react to the incidence of light.

Metalized Lamination

Metalized Lamination

Application of a metalized polyester film for producing highly resistant packaging.

Micro-embossing

Micro-embossing

Effect that creates textures by applying elevations or depressions on the paperboard surface.

Cast & Cure

Cast & Cure

A technique used to create special visual effects on printed surfaces. The process combines UV varnish application with a holographic or textured film, resulting in beautiful and sophisticated effects.

Digital Finishing

Digital Finishing

Production of colorful and/or textured effects through the application of varnishes and foil (cold stamping) in digital equipment.

Window Packaging

Window Packaging

Packaging with openings that allow direct visualization of the packaged products. The "windows" can be open or covered with transparent materials.

Braille

Braille

At Gonçalves, Braille application is done during the gluing stage, ensuring agility, quality, and uniformity of printing at no additional cost to our customers. Besides medicine boxes, where Braille is mandatory, customers from other sectors, such as cosmetics, personal care, and food, have adopted this inclusive feature in their packaging.

Reactive Ink

Reactive Ink

A technique popularly known as "scratch-off". Applied in reserved areas, reactive ink is commonly used in pharmaceutical packaging as an anti-counterfeiting measure. After scratching, the manufacturer's brand appears.

Blister Varnish

Blister Varnish

A heat-sealing varnish that bonds the paperboard part of the packaging to the plastic blister through heat and pressure. Gonçalves has developed a formulation that ensures superior performance.

Our Differentiators

Manufacturing packaging with the most advanced technologies is just one aspect of the services we provide to our clients. For us, there is only one way to work with a customer-focused approach: supporting them from start to finish.

Commercial

A specialized team that adopts a close relationship approach. We maintain direct contact with the client, conduct visits, understand market demands and trends, and capture their needs and expectations for each packaged product.

G-Inova

G-Inova is a program we created to strengthen our relationships with clients. We invite them to our facility to get to know us better and to showcase our value proposition, which extends beyond quality, price, and deadlines. In addition to facility tours, the G-Inova agenda includes presentations on technologies and innovations in materials, textures, and finishes. To complete the experience, we surprise visitors with innovative packaging samples designed specifically for their company’s products.

Technical Support

Our strategy of maintaining close relationships with clients ensures that our pre- and post-sales technical support goes beyond resolving occasional issues. We take a proactive approach focused on quality, including client visits to assess product performance and identify potential improvements before any issues arise.

Creation, Development and Innovation

We have a dedicated team for these activities. When a client already has a project, we provide consulting on its development, analyzing structural aspects, suggesting finishing features, and making fine adjustments to ensure optimal performance in the packaging process.

We also design packaging projects, proposing innovative solutions aligned with the technical and aesthetic requirements of the products. Formats, textures, special windows, fittings, and types of paperboard—there are numerous features we use to create captivating packaging. We have won numerous awards for our packaging designs.

Among sustainability-oriented trends, we offer paperboard packaging as a substitute for plastic, recycled paperboard packaging, collective packaging (which can serve as displays at points of sale), and packaging that transforms into reusable items, such as a jewelry box or a toy.

Logistics

  • A vast finished product storage area managed using the Kanban system and barcode tracking ensures efficiency and security. We have over 3,500 pallet positions in Brazil and over 4,200 in Mexico.

  • Raw material stock sufficient for four months of uninterrupted production. This availability is especially crucial during global paperboard supply crises, such as in 2022; besides the occasional urgent demand.

  • Just-in-time delivery system

  • Own fleet: 15 vehicles in Brazil and 3 in Mexico. Additionally, for certain destinations, we partner with third-party carriers selected based on strict technical and safety qualifications.
